Edraw Max

I use a programme called edraw Max I used the brain storming features for planning new projects, when you first run the programme you are presented with a getting started window in this window there are examples of templates you can use there is a template category window with the following categories: basic diagram, business diagram, engineering, floor plans, flowchart, maps, mind maps, network, organisation chart, project management, software, database, clipart, fashion design, web diagram, recent templates, I select the mind map category the window changes showing examples I then select a brain storming template with the example I then change the relevant information to suit my project, it is very easy to use the programme, well supported with help tutorials. You can start with a blank page and build your own mind mapping using the mapping elements and the clipart images.
